Dah Di Dah
What's in a name...
Dah-Di-Dah has a nice ring to it, but there's more to our name than how it sounds.
Let's start with the logo....
The dah-di-dah founders have medical backgrounds, but we're also sailors, our logo comes from the nautical K flag meaning we want to communicate with you and we thought that it might be a clever way to say it.
The dashes and dots ▬ ● ▬ are Morse code for the letter K.
Morse code K is also a prosign giving an "invitation for any station to transmit". Meaning communication is open to all and for anybody to reply. So we are always open to your suggestions.
Dah-di-dah is how the Morse code is verbalised and is related to how the Morse code is produced by using long and short presses on a key....
One long press ▬ dah, followed by one short ● di and then another long ▬ dah and you have Morse code K or dah-di-dah.
So.... our logo and name says that we want to communicate with you and that we are open to communication from all.
Just goes to show.....You learn something new everyday.
